Rusty Gold!!! I sold this for a friend a couple of years ago. The buyer said when it was restored it was worth over $20 grand.
There's a restored one by the buyer on youtube. Look up "Pierce inverted Hit or Miss Engine"

I went chasing how this eng. worked. I got sidetracked on Fairbanks Morse eng.'s (had a bid on one once) and from there, got involved in the F4U Corsair. In 60 words, or less, can you explain why this eng. is so diff. ? LOL !
Go to Youtube and look up Pierce Inverted Hit or Miss Engine you will see one running and Mike OMalley the one running it brought mine. The flywheel on mine was not the right one but that didn't bother him.
