    Inherited from our farmhouse which was built in 1896. Reupholstered a few decades ago keeping the horsehair. Are these of any value at all? Thanks.

      Person making the barneby recommendation is the GM of Collectors Weekly (barneby is the parent company of CW).

      I wouldn't spend a nickel on an appraisal based off of a review of their "service:

      It looks roughly 1940 to 1950 when they still used horsehair and straw. The decoration on the handles to legs show a later date.

      I believe it all depends on where you plan to sell them at. There really is a buyer for everything. It depends also on what you ask for them and what someone is willing to pay. Personally, I find people are downsizing and single chairs have always sold well for me but the generation today would rather have them painted white...don't shoot me now, I'm just the messenger!!!
