    I found this belt yesterday at the flea market. Silver with Chinese marks.
    The length is 79 cm and the weight is 104 gram.

    Can anyone tell me more about this? Age, origin, silver content?

      I have to say at first I thought Asian too but I don't believe so. It's more like Czechoslovakian when you look at the bottom cartouche in the last photo. What stood out to me was that zig zag etching around the rooster. I've seen that before. In fact I think a gold ring I have that belonged to my grandfather has that on it... no rooster of course. It's an unusual piece that's for sure. Here, take a peek at this link. It only shows towards the top but you might be able to research it further just from looking at what Czech writing looks like. Maybe Israel??? Even in that link, look at the writing in the blue box , top left! It looks just like the writing in the upper right cartouche of your piece;

      The jury's out on this one. I, like shareurpassion thought it was definitely Asian but not so sure now. Neil

      The first two scripts were Chinese, one of it said Zu Yin. In current times, this means S990. Not sure if it meant the same during that era.

      The third script I am unfamiliar, it looked like Thai.
      The belt should be Asian. I sometimes see this design, and its variation over here in Malaysia. I have a similar belt with a different buckle. Mine look like this https://www.carousell.com.my/p/antique-silver-belt-1002408688/?t-id=q3aOimb3uU_1593427001273&t-referrer_browse_type=categories&t-referrer_category_id=650&t-referrer_request_id=pLeuDyequ4VAvLtq&t-referrer_sort_by=popular&t-tap_index=0
