My husbands grandfather was Imperial Glass account and there were many items he received that were made at the end of day, so I have been told this is one of the two mat black items we have. Does anyone know anything else about this.
Gorgeous fish image & lovely plate, how fortunate that your husbands grandfather worked for Imperial Glass they made such beautiful things. Hopefully someone here will know more about this very rare piece, thank you for sharing
don't know how rare these may be but another does show up from an old eBay auction in Pinterest. There is also a companion item with a mallard duck taking to flight, as well as a plain ashtray with same rim motif. There is also a similar zodiac astray as well. The matt black finish reminds me of Imperial's black suede finish.
