This was an opportunity shop purchases a few weeks ago here in Sydney.
It cost four dollars.
What is really attractive about the object is the sound that the rattle makes. It is quite discreet. Not something that will drive Mummy and Daddy totally mad. It also feels good.
A well designed object that sounds good too. Does anyone know who designed it? I think they are still being made?
It's marked TIFFANY & CO 925 / 22075101

925 Silver is great, got some value too beside being stuck in some rich kids mouth! Tiffany items are always a good buy, and never fall short of someone wanting to invest in that beautiful name. Wonderful find.

Apparently they were well over 300 Dollars when being made. Too bad they were discontinued because of FDA regulations.

Hey thanks PhilDavidAlexanderMorris, Marty and Scandinavian_pieces!
I did not know they fell foul of the FDA.

Yeah it is a great piece, although I can see baby teething on it being a no-no.
