Have not been able to locate the patent for this gate. Really good idea. Can anyone shed any light on it? Patent date January 26, 1886 printed on one of the rails.

PATENT FOUND: Patented by Delos Giles, of Cheshire, Michigan, January 26, 1886, patent #335,028.

Contemporary gates with rubber tires may be found on farms and ranches. Some ideas are timeless.

Congratulations-- the patent drawing and paperwork will certainly enhance a display and value!

Google patent searches make what used to be "needle in a haystack" type searches pretty easy.

Thanks Scott. The recent Google Patent upgrade opened up a bunch more patents. Thanks Google.
