This was the second find from my weekend road trip - a stunning example of Welz frit glass!
I cannot fully convey how excited I was to spot this...it's the kind of glass that means so much to me as a collector, because it's unusual rather than obviously pretty, which is definitely my vibe. The tactile quality of the frit is also really cool.
It is made from a single thick layer of opaque yellow glass, with a rough frit textured surface. The vase has a lobed form & measures 21 cm tall, 4.5 cm across the cut top rim, & 5.5 cm across the base, which has a polished out pontil mark.
The fourth photo shows it with two other examples of Welz frit glass with lobed forms. The smaller yellow vase has a slight iridescent finish.
Bohemian origin.
I love these Welz frit pieces. I was just wondering if the small one you said is slightly iridescent has pale lavender iridescent frit? I have a yellow vase with pale lavender iridescent frit and handles. If it is the lavender, I will dig mine out and post it. I have not seen another one like it before.
I would love to see JIMTIM’s vase too. I have a big one that should like his.

The small vase has an iridescence that to me looks slightly bronze in tone rather than lavender...I also have a very large vase with the same iridescence that I posted in 2017:
