Leesa, I love a colorful animal brooch like this, so many are all white rhinestone that finding a brightly colored one is a treat
Mike, you and Scott have such a beautiful State bird, nothing prettier than a red cardinal sitting on a snowy branch (as is often seen on Christmas cards, many I have bought). New York's bird is the eastern bluebird, which may be populous in other parts of the state but I've yet to see one :)
Lovely cardinal brooch! This is a very nice and really festive sort of brooch, which I'd probably pair with deep reds, wines and green for that overly festive but rich look! ^^
They really are a lovely little red flame in an otherwise very dark time of year.
