Hello everyone!!
The latest addition to my rabbit and hare collection is this cast iron hare. He’s very highly detailed for it to be cast iron. Typically, you’d see that in bronze or spelter, but rarely in cast iron objects .
He’s not old and was probably cast sometime with the past 5 years. He came to me from Belgium and was extremely rusted and unpainted. I cleaned the rust off, sealed him and painted him. He’s 12” tall, 5 1/2” wide and 8” deep. He weighs in at 9.4lbs.
