My Boyfriend gave this ring to me. It was his mom's who's lived in New York all her life. He said it was very old. I am definitely keeping it, but wonder if anyone can tell me anything about this ring?? She gave it to him in this box.

Not an expert, but the top two series of numbers is a serial number, the next number would be the number 5 could be original size, the 1841 KB stands for a model # and designer Karlan and Bleicher founded in NYC in 1926. Just a guess and the cocktail rings were very popular in the 30's to the 50's
Nice ring, thanks for showing. Like I said not an expert?
Such a nice keepsake he gifted you with!
well, this is what I found out: 1930s-40 18k yellow gold & opal princess ring, marked 18k 85, in a diamond and Siam. It has been fully tested and is guaranteed to be solid gold. The ring is a size 7.25. The top measures 16mm high, x 22mm across. There are 23, 3mm opals and 1 4.5mm opal on the top.
Weight is 6 grams.
