This is the 14K gold "Presentation" badge that belonged to Chief R.F. Humphrey back in 1912. The badge is made of 14K gold and has over a hundred small diamonds set into the badge, panels, rays, eagle and raised rank panel "CHIEF". The badge has a larger diamond in the locomotive headlight on the bottom. The badge was made by "C.G. Braxmar Co. of NY". I am looking for and seeking further help on this item and information on Mr. R.F. Humphrey of the New York Central & Hudson River Railroad Company.

I own one of the NYC&HRRR 14K gold Chief badges that belonged to Humphrey. I'm trying to find information on him. He was Chief of Police in the early 1910's up until the NYC&HR became the NYCRR. Chip
I asked because the photo looked subdued. I imagine a flash shot would just show a big sparkle with all of those diamonds and gold!
