Hi,

I just bought an antique clock marked 1818. Handpainted case, paper dial handpainted as well with number mistakes: "5" instead of "3" and some numbers are upside down! Paper label on top, but too faded to read. The previous owner said the clock worked well, but I only have a key for the door, not one to wind. Reverse painted scene on the glass door of a farm and landscape.

Dimensions are: 17 3/4" wide by 5" deep by 34 1/2" tall.

Help! I have no idea of the actual age of the clock, what it's worth and if it would be worth to have fixed to run (and those costs).

    Nessa, check around clock keys are not really hard to find. If wound it might run, If you like this clock and find a key, I would say it is cost effective, you bought it so you must like it . Here is a waterbury clock key on ebay, this will give you an idea of cost.
