Most likely used on a farm.
Does not seem very practical for a ranch or farm. I wonder if they sold very many?
Packrat-place. You wouldn't believe some of the elaborate gate designs that were used on farms. I like the KFC idea.
THE GATE YOU POSTED IS SOMEWHAT LIKE THE ONE MY DAD AND OTHER RANCHERS BUILT FOR US KIDS TO USE WHEN WE WENT TO SCHOOL. NEVER HAD TO GET OFF THE HORSE. THE LEVER HAD A SPRING ON IT. THE OVER HEAD CROSS BAR WAS HIGH ENOUGH FOR THE RIDER AND HORSE TO GET THRU.
