I have searched and see that you seem to have so much information. I have my mother’s (I am 57 and she would be 84) perfume bottle. I always remember her saying this perfume bottle was her mother’s. I have not seemed to find any bottle like this. Can you tell me any information regarding this piece? It could possibly be gold, and how would I find out?

Hi Are there any anrkings on the metal or glass? this may help identify maker or country of origin.
Thank you for your comment. No, there are no markings but this piece seems to be hand blown (very smooth flat bottom) versus pressed glass like the American ones. It's a very heavy piece (1lb.) and has has approx. 1 inch of glass base. I have now eliminated the idea that it is a Matson piece, this is a better quality and I think it is much older. I'm having a blast trying to figure this out, so if you can help, I would appreciate it.
gorgeous!
