This is one of several brooches of my Great Grandma. I chose this one to show because it is cute and simple. I appreciate the colorful flowers and the numerous beads. I don't think I would wear this brooch because it is in a single line and it not very festive for any season (maybe Easter?). This piece of jewelry is probably from the 1920s.

    I agree that these beaded brooches date to the 1920s or 1930s. My understanding is that they were sold as DIY kits and if you look hard, you can find examples in all different shapes and color combinations. It's actually quite possible that your great grandmother made your brooch. I'm going to try to post a pic of my collection.

    That would be great if you posted some of your stuff. It is so fun to show other what we have.

    I would be surprised if my great grandma did this herself but if she did, I wish she made some for me. Thanks for all the information you gave me about the beaded brooches!
