Pick this up today at an outdoor Antique/flea Market. It was dirty and you could hardly tell it was a Kendall 2000 mile oil can but i could tell it would clean up good. I think it dates to the 1940's and have been looking for one of these, paid $8, glad to add it to my collection. enjoy.

mikie, I use dish soap or car wash soap to clean and then I use a car polish/wax finish restorer carefully!
thanks EJW, thats what i have used, but some of the grime has been on them a long time, im afraid to get too physical with them,, especially the paper cans.
