56 years after 1956.
Sydney calling! London opening!
From the shed a mint unopened set of playing cards.
On the box: NAIPES, SUPERFICIE PLASTICA, FOURNIER, VITORIA, ESPAÑA.

"History of Fournier - Naipes Heraclio Fournier S.A. is a playing card manufacturer that was founded in 1868 and is based in Vitoria, Spain. Though it has been owned by The United States Playing Card Company since 1986, not only does it continue to maintain separate manufacturing operations, but it also manufactures certain USPC products sold by its parent company in the States (i.e., Congress bridge playing cards).

It was founded by Heraclio Fournier in 1868. He died in 1916. His grandson Félix Alfaro Fournier took on the administration of the company and started a card collection. In 1970 he acquired the card collection from Thomas De la Rue. His collections formed the Fournier Museum of Playing Cards, now property of the Province Government of Alava.

Nowadays, Fournier is part of the American holding, Jarden Corporation (JAH)."

The Fournier cards museum is a nice one to visit. First of all there are all the different playing cards, some of them dating back from really old times; then there are also the old printing machines and so on and, one of the most important things, it is located in a Rennaisance style palace which is truly amazing! Vitoria is a beautiful city anyway...

I missed most of the opening ceremony last night. I will have to catch it online. Always wanted to be an Olympian. Not talented enough for it. Or fast enough.
I think my only opening now would be curling.
V, take a muscle relaxer and chill. You will feel much better in the morning
