That is a great find and better since it was your dads. Can you post a photo of the movement?
The back of mine shows worn spots and the inscription is similar. Some of the numbers are different.

love it -- seems that generation really loved the hamiltons -- mine was the elgins and bulovas -- still see the bulovas in the jewelry stores but not the elgins -- still have my elgin watch grandmother gave me for confirmation -- great keepsake you have to treasure and hopefully to pass down though the generations
