I found this beauty yesterday in a second-hand shop. It is a bit over 12 inches tall and and in perfect condition. I believe it might have had a cover. It is unmarked and the porcelain (?) is rather thick and heavy. It is hand-painted and done really well. I got it because the colours are and the pattern are very close to the kind of German porcelain I collect. Does anybody know where it might come from?

Thanks for looking :)

Magnificent! I can hardly believe that the flowers have been handpainted - they are so perfect. However, I did see that two groups of the flowers were handpainted, so I assume that they all are. This one deserves a professional evaluation! Exceptionally fine florals!!!!! : o

Thanks miKKoChristmas11. I believe that everything is hand-painted, including the golden rims etc. If the light is right, you can see every brushstroke. Because it is unmarked, I have a hard time dating it. I looked at literally hundreds of similar ones but could not get any answers. Being very skeptical, I think it is either a pretty good reproduction or it could be pretty old. By the way, there are "goat heads with horns" (not the right animal; can't think of the proper name) on the bottom of the handles. Maybe this will help find out more about it.

Hello, freiheit! I can't play on CW today, but I was checking my email just now and saw your comments. I wish I could help more on this, but I cannot. This is a magnificent piece, and I think that it deserves to be seen by a professional appraiser. I did believe that it was entirely handpainted, I had just meant to emphasize that the perfection of the floral painting was such that intitially I had thought it might well be a transfer and not handpainted throughout. It is truly remarkable painting!! The gilding being handpainted I had detected. The vessel is very crisply molded. This is exceptionally fine! You should be able to find someone in Toronto to examine for you. I recommend that you do so. Best wishes for success! miKKo
