Im not sure what this is, my family found it in a house they bought. Someone mentioned it could be an old plumb bob. It is definitely antique and made of some stone. It is solid, heavy for its size and it does scratch.
approx 3 1/4 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide

nephrite [jade] cannot be scratched w/ metal.

I was incorrect before. I was in bad light but when i checked again it does scratch where i tried to scratch it. Sorry about that! Thanks for everyone's help
