Found this at GW this morning. It's a small 9 1/2" high by 4" wide handled porcelain urn. The colors and design are beautiful. Definitely hand painted and very delicate. The top and handles have been broken and glued but it really doesn't show except on the inside top because the glue has darkened. No mark on the bottom. The paint is raised and gilded on some areas so it has a moriage style to it. Could be Japanese, French, German, I really don't know. -Mike-

I think I'll go with Nippon for this piece. A lot were never marked except for a paper label. They were pretty good at European floral design. The cherub is the only thing that stands out as not typical. The raised decoration and enamel are Nippon as well as the band running around the middle. That looks very Japanese in design.
