Until recent times, I began having a stronge interest in learning about & collecting amazing vintage or antique finds. Pickin' is my ultimate favorite thing to do because you never know what you may find & to me it really is like treasure hunting. I collect various items like: old galvanized metal, vintage suitcases, pottery, art glass, furniture & pretty much anything else unique I may discover. If I have the space for it or if it has sentimental value I keep, but some findings I just have to suck it up & sell, which for now I just do locally.
Profile photo is of my favorite very lucky find & I do tend to be a little protective over it! Was built in late 1800's & was imported from China. A friend translated it for me & described it as "an old goofy poem". As an artist herself, she said the calligraphy appears to be quite nicely & professionally done. Given this info along w/ many other factors, we believe it was once used by a scholar to store his or her books...guess this is when my interest in collecting & learning began! (Read more)
