Interested in Photography from childhood, I'm 83, been collecting cameras for about 40 years. Current collection ~ 265 wood and brass cameras from 138 British camera makers. Self imposed parameters, to include only British Cameras from 1839 to 1914 with named makers' labels, though some "interesting" cameras fall outside these limits and I have a few later ones and some anonymous ones. "Interesting" trumps all other criteria, which gives me a little wiggle room to throw my money at something else sometimes. (Read more)

  5. Rob, to me research is at least half the joy of collecting. You have done your homework on this one, and I am glad you are continuing. Nice little camera.
  6. Dallmeyer produced one in England, called "The Adon", a title which is self-explanatory I guess.
  7. Hint 1: Softer focus. Hint 2: Depth of field. So, softer focus; greater (or lesser) depth of field; and possibly shorter shutter speeds?
