I have found a new obsession.. Thank you Wawa.. love and miss you so. (Read more)

  1. Thank you AR8Jason. No, there are no other markings. I was hoping I could find a similar model to offer some range, but I find several other types, just not this one.

  9. If it is any connection with the majority of his collection, I wonder if it is a shotgun shell loader.. I am looking now.
  10. maybe a cork shaper? I know sounds silly, but it has something to do with shaping I think.. I have even done an image search and it found nothing.. I am still looking though.
  11. That is what I thought at first, but there is no place to put a bottle, the end to the right is completely closed off by the black cap type thing, and it is not removable.
  12. Thank you all for your help.
  13. The missing section may be the key to this one..:-)
  14. Vertraio50, the base is a bit different on the link you sent me, is this common for manufactures back then to use different base's? Your link is the only one I found that is close to this.
  15. Beautiful work epson :-)
  16. Got it open thanks to Kerry. Did not have WD40, found gear lub in my husbands shop. worked like a dream.. but stinks bad :-)
  17. Thank you Kerry.. I will try it.
  18. Vetraio50, thank you so much for the information. 1766 you think is the patent number? I am still looking for more information. I can not find anything with the same base, all are a solid metal.
  19. Oh.. my.. this is beautiful...such excellent taste vetraio50...
  20. this one I can not open to measure the mold.
  21. Please forgive my ingnorance, but intrigued.. what is a prue-cutter? is this the area just under the mold, at the intersection of the handle? What was it used for?
  22. It is small, the ball mold is only 1/2 in.

  30. I will, and thank you again.. I am with blunder... eyes are crossing a bit .. night Kerry. And look forward to more chats. :)
  31. Oh, wow.. very interesting.. thank you so much.
  32. LOL blunder... It does show "OZ" on the wheel.. on the bottom under the German word it reads "Real Bronce" exact spelling.
  33. Epson, I uploaded a closer very of the wheel..and I hope you have a great evening. Kerry, thank you for the reference.
  34. I was wrong, the grips are a hard leather.
  35. Thank you so much, Kerry. You all have made me feel so welcomed.
  36. The writing on the wheel is in fractions. The wheel has some prongs on them and actually seperate with weight.
  37. Thank you for your kind words, Epson. I think you may be right, Kerry.
  38. I uploaded some images of the bottom and back, showing the numbers I found.
  39. I will upload another with numbers from the back.
  40. You are great.. thank you so much.
  41. I aim to please.. :)besides, I am lacking any facts to confuse anyone...;)
  42. Almost 9 inches long, 3 inches across. I will post a better angle pic.
  43. It is flat, but the entire head is square, the picture does not do the size justice.
  44. Should I take another photo at a different angle?
  45. Thank you both... note to self: not a weapon of mass destruction. Strong possibility that it is an apple Peeler.... don't confuse blunder with any facts. :) And I hope your Holidays are filled ...
  46. Thank you Kerry. I will add that sub category to see.
  47. Not sure. Is that what you think it is?
  48. Does anyone have any insight into this lantern?
  49. Thank you, I know nothing about them. Do they usually not have a manufacture date?
  50. See more
