Folk Paintings

As with most artists, we enjoy working in different media. I have painted in oils from a very young age. My mother painted and gave me a set of paints and brushes at age 7. Loved it ever since. Being untrained, my paintings have a natural Folk look to them. Here is a painting called "Vixen" that I did after seeing one of these beautiful and elusive creatures near my home. I made a wide pine frame for the piece and faux grained it in oils. It now graces the guest room at Junglehouse.
