A lot can be discerned by seeing the type of screw holding it together or the mold lines underneath. It does look old and original. RER
Yes it does, and the screw look worn
And very heavy!!
It looks like a recent made item, probably Taiwan. Maybe you could post photos of the bottom and inside?
