This coffee set is brass with silverplated interiors. The handles appear to be teak. They are marked Made in Italy with one piece marked Italy Silverplate. The quality is really high and I am trying to ID the maker if I can. I have seen other services in silver identified as Gio Ponti and the construction appears identical - did Ponti make such services in brass? Were there very close copies? All help most welcome!

I could never attribute it either.

I traded it to a buddy, who traded it to another dealer who then traded it! Lost track after that.

AmberRose - thanks so much! That is very funny that you have been on the exact same hunt... I will let you know if I am able to find out any more. Is yours also silverplated? The exterior is aluminum or....?

Aluminum for sure. Think it's the exact same as as yours but different color. Signed the same and everything.
I really like what you have posted so far...post more! :))
