Signed Spirit Necklace,Native American?

This is a very nice vintage necklace,signed on back,"Spirit" and some other letters I can't make out,anybody know if this is native American or some other culture,I would love to know.I bought out a large tote full of jewelry from a lady who had it in her storage.
