This 1920-30's Art Deco Nouveau custard glass shade is suspended by 3 steel rods, held on by 3 round brass nuts.
Custard, Vaseline glass, also known as uranium glass. Custard glass is called that because of it's yellow "custard" color. It gets that color from uranium added to the molten glass mixture.
It was not until the 1890s that custard was made by Northwood Glass Co. of Indiana, Pa., the first maker in the United States. At least 10 other companies made custard glass before 1930, and a few are making it today.
