brouwer spreukschotel (tekstplate)

brouwer is one of my favourite pottery artists because he worked with a lot of older techniques and his work looks to me like it is closely related to natural tribes.the technique used here is called slibtechnique,(slib is clay or glaze in an almost liquid state).although the quality is mostly very brittle wich makes it hard to find undamaged items,and it is well searched for what makes it more difficult to find.this plate is marked with the first type of brouwer brand and dated 8 1905,what to me makes it more adoreable and the tekst means something like stand straight (hold your position) or keep with your opinion in other words cw lovers STA PAL!!! hope someone will enjoy...
