I got this a few months ago, it is a Charming vintage sewing basket.
The basket is 3" tall, measures 7" across the top, and as the basket slants in, the bottom measurement is 6".

I get some baskets for my collection online and I check Ebay, Etsy and Ruby Lane. I have gotten some really great deals at these places, and I found this one on Ebay.

The color is still great on this basket, and I see from the braiding of sweet grass and the bentwood around the rim of the bottom piece that this basket was probably woven around 1930, it is very old. And another basket joins my collection :)

      Thanks ho2culcha :)

Yes, it could be Micmac. I maybe should say Wabanaki, as there are many tribes in and around Maine and up into Canada that use similar styles in their weaving.
