Approximately 5" long, has McCoy emblem on the bottom, just not sure what year or era this would have been from?

If you research it online you will find a site that will date it by the mark. Their mark changed at times so getting a general idea of the age is pretty easy.
Your mark is mid way down the page. 1940 - 1950
