Signed on back/bottom A. Greco
10" Tall w/out base
Not sure this sculpture belongs to the base looks to be glued as the previous sculpture I posted earlier today. ( the one on the wood block/stand).
Looks to be clay as you can see in the chipped areas.
I cannot believe how dirty these three sculptures were.....oh man gross!
But I cleaned as gently as possible.
The first one I posted was not cleaned...so you can really see how much dirt was built up on them.
This is the only one I found a mark/signature on.
Found all three together today at the GW.
Of course the only Greco that comes up with Madonna is 16thC El Greco.

I found and Emilio Greco 1913-1995 Italian. But that doesn't explain the "A"....still a mystery.....guess I will keep searching.
