Defective misprint bottle.
Bottom states Shelby NC Trade-Mark c Bottle.
Apparently this bottle made its way from NC to wherever before being pulled off the bottle line by an employee of a small bottling plant in another state during the 50's to 60's.
True history as I obtained the bottle from the employee who pulled it and held on to it all these years.
Neat item. I would think that this bottle didn't spin properly during the labelling process. Just a guess.
