This old gas light was my grandfathers. He repainted it at some point and changed it to electric. I wish I knew how old it is and a maker but they are all unknown to me.

Very nice ! I doubt it was gas but was always electric and looks like it dates from 1920-40s has a bit of a mission style to shade . It does not look repainted ? But unable to see top color of shade . Can you take shade off and show the electrical and inside shade ?
