i decided to shoot some better pics of this piece. i'm so amazed that this piece is still in perfect condition. It appears to be made of some kind of soft paste, but there's no cracks or chips or anything. is it english? is it a tureen? would this be considered 'creamware'? if not, what is it and where is it from? any ideas as to the date? my guess would be Victorian - 1860s - 70s. it's pretty large - standing 7.25 inches tall x 10.5 inches wide. thanks for any info.

It might have been part of a jug and water set?

it is very 'watery' w/ the dolphin and 'waves'.

That seam on the bottom suggests that it might be of a more recent production?

i'm not sure. it's not very visible except i stepped up the contrast to pick up any details. it was extremely dirty and took a long time to clean, but i suppose it might be from the 20s or 30s, maybe? i really don't know.
