I found this in a cabinet and know nothing about it and just had a feeling it might be special, Can anyone help me with information? Stamp on the bottom says patented "Muggsy" Thanks!!

Thank you so much@TinaL is there any kind of collectors market for it and what should i do with it to find it a good home where it will be appreciated? It doesnt even remotely go with anything in my kitchen I actually think the little fella is kinda ugly :)
My advice is to look on Ebay and Rubylane. There is a whole collection of these doggies on the market (salt & pepper shakers, cookie jars, etc). At least that'll give you an idea of the value. Happy New Year.
