    Acquired a group of vintage Hood Ornaments and was able to Identify most thanks just a car guys hood ornaments blog page. But this one here I didn't really see a match for though I could have overlooked it or maybe this was a dealer Ornament. Anyway does anyone know what car model this belongs to ? It's about 10in long and 7in across.

      I purchased a 1956 Chevy Bel Air hood ornament from eBay a few months back and it came with a hood ornament identical to the one you have posted. I searched to try to figure out what it was off of and kept coming up short the same as this. Just tonight I brought it over to my father and asked him if he had any idea because he has been a Gearhead drag racer all his life and he immediately said "Oh! Well that's off an Oldsmobile. A Rocket 88 or 98. I'd even go out on a limb and say it could've been for a '48, '49, or '50 Olds."

      My father, Bruce Fairburn, is 81 & currently in assisted living, had his night nurse Roger Hunter come in while we were sitting here discussing this, and my dad asked him the same question.
      To my surprise, he said the exact same as my dad.
      I had been on this page after receiving my treasures from my eBay purchase, trying to seek out the mystery that appears to span across the world wide web. So here I am to report my discovery---ALTHOUGH I WILL BE LOOKING THE INFO UP WHEN I RETURN HOME HERE SHORTLY!

      Nope...those are close. This is a early 1950s Willys Aero Car hood ornament..maybe 52 or 53?

      They used these on several cars and years...heres one a 54 Aero Lark..
