I purchased this telephone at a flea market along with a bell box. I would like to know more about this particular telephone. It still has the original cord.

Apparently this is known to collectors as the "Kansas City" There is one very similar to yours (though someone has painted the nickle plated parts. Here is a link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Stromberg-Carlson-Candlestick-Phone-Receives-Calls-0903A-/111580837454?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19fabc764e

upstate, Thank you for the link. I really do not like that they painted the nickle-plated parts. Thanks for the "Kansas City" clue...never heard that.

Vintage, you really do come up with "off the wall" stuff. Like your diversity!

I NEVER say "you'se guys." Remember, I spent some years in GA! LOL!

Not a Kansas model they was manufactured around 1900, your candlestick was produced from 1905 up until 1928. yours has the later bakelite type transmitter.

Thanks ttomtucker. I guess that that is why I have it. I am drawn to items from the 1920s.

So you're in mental health. Pitcher or receiver? LOL! You can buy the cloth covered wires ready to install. I used "House of Telephones" & was very happy with their products & friendly attitude. (Much better than my own!)
    14. vintagelamp vintagelamp, 9 years ago
Your attitude is fine! Thanks for the info on the wires! Pitcher and receiver...

Cind"B" sure doesn't share your opinion! Still trying to figure that out?
    16. vintagelamp vintagelamp, 9 years ago
Wondered why I haven't heard anything....

Ck it out on her site. I'm still waiting for somebody to explain the tantrum & what triggered it? Wish somebody would explain it to me!
    18. vintagelamp vintagelamp, 9 years ago
      ok...will look
    19. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 9 years ago
It's actually "CindB". In my opinion the "B' should be a "C". Have absolutely no idea what triggered the "C". Let me know! "I'm a bully"? Thought I got along with everybody real well. I call BS, BS when needed to be called BS. Strange that!

blunder, Which post are you speaking about? I couldn't find it.

Vintagelamp, my guess is, she was ashamed of her uncontrolled tantrum & deleted it! Good move! I will never clk on another item of her's again. I tried clk'n on her site & didn't get much positive response. I think they just went truly insane that day. It was incredible! A snake that had been stirred without knowing what stirred it. Best forgotten! If I had done that, I would be banned from CW for certain! I just simply asked what we were calling "vintage"? It was incredible what the response was! I don't even remember what poste they lost control of sanity on right now. I'm sure it was embarrassing to them, so just forget. I certainly want forget being attacked that way for no explained reason! I just know that I will never clk or comment on CindB's posts again. That one has good posts, but insane obviously!
