    Imagine my disappointment when these two great jars showed up - both broken! this is some of my favorite types of pots - simple, a little color, w/ a very cool period design. my assistant Adan did a great job repairing them though. i'd love to find more of these kind!!

      helper? assistant? aid? not sure how i'd get anything done w/out him! he's a young guy from guatemala and EXCELLENT at so many things. today, he's going to finish sanding down my 'titanic' chairs after stripping them. i realized that they were made of beautiful teak wood which someone had covered in two layers of paint. http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/96513-deck-chairs-from-the-titanic

      does anyone recognize the decoration on these bowls? it's pretty unique 1930s/40s, i think.

      assistants are fine - especially mine!! i cleaned these up and will take a pic tomorrow. they look pretty different!

      next time, i'll have to clean them up BEFORE gluing them!
