Reading Premium Beer Button Sign

Here is a Reading Beer Button Sign from the Old Reading Brewing Company located in Reading PA. This button sign in a TOC (Tin-Over-Cardboard) and was made for the brewery between the brewery’s rebrand from the Old Reading Brewing Company to the Reading Brewing Company. The way you can tell that is because of the Distelfink bird graphic and the short R in Reading; plus along the edge there is fine print that reads “Old Reading Brewing Company, Reading, PA”. I would put a date on this sign somewhere around the 1960’s.

This sign is in good condition for it’s age with the exception of some light rust on the bottom edge. There are actually 2 variations to this sign. One like the one I have with the distelfink bird graphic and the other that reads “Light” Reading Premium Beer. I’ve been looking for one of these signs ever since I started collecting pa beer collectibles. I was able to get it through a trade from a good friend of mine and fellow collector. I’m very happy to have this one in my collection; all I got to do now is find the other variation.
