I found this today in a Car Boot sale, in Swansea. Its an Essex miniature sewing machine. Normally you just find one of the many millions of Singer's which are run of the mill in this area.

      hello
i also have one of these machines that has the electric motor and foot pedal although i only use it as a hand machine as i dont trust the electircs on it! these machines are not as common as the earlier essex no.1 machines maybe they did not produced as many or for as long as the essex no.1 or maybe they were not very popular. or maybe they have been thrown away?
