This bowl is strange and unsigned. Tan/beige clay with lots of inclusions. Rounded foot rim and very short hourglass pedestal. Orange-peel glaze in a mauve color. This piece is 9 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall. any insights?

i don't think that this fits under 'kitchen bowl'. it fits better under 'art pottery' imho.
My understanding is bases like these are contemporary Chinese, perhaps others with more knowledge will give you a different opinion. It's a handsome bowl. :)
