I picked this up at an estate sale recently and I have no information or back story on the piece. I have had no luck finding anything that remotely resembles this piece. The closest I have come are a few Stevens and Williams pieces. S&W seems to have the best match to the type of handle on this basket, the particular amber color and the way the thorns are designed. They also have pieces with this dimple glass effect as well as this rose and white color combination.
Most people I have shown it to feel that it is Victorian Era, most likely British/European.
Measures about 9 1/4" tall, 11" long, and about 7" outer handle to outer handle.
Those thorns are pretty dramatic .... As is the curve of that handle .
