Once again people don't care what they throw out. This is a very old unit, seems to be missing so parts, guess I have my work cut out on this one.
Does anyone have an idea what model and year this is??
    Thanks
    John

A friend has acquired an old Singer and would like to know its age. The serial number is AK942840. Can anyone tell me the age of this machine?

I also have one of these. It looks almost exactly like this one, the wear. Mine does have a plate with a model number and things. I couldn't tell you the numbers now though.

Jerry : The Singer web site shows that your machine was made May 26 , 1952 at the Elizabethport plant , Eliszabeth , New Jersey .

John, can you make out the serial number on the plate in front of the pillar? The machine is a 15, an early 1900's by the look of it.
