BLANC DE CHINE CHINESE FIGURINE

I bought this from an elderly lady who has moved into a retirement home,she was kind enough to let me have it for $20,there was a pair,unfortunately the other piece was damaged,and I passed on it,I was told that this piece belonged to her late mom,and the lady that sold it to me is in her late 70"s, so , naturally I would presume that the figurine is quiet old.The only info that I could google was that it is a CHINESE GODDESS, I would love to know more about this item,and I would guess that she started life on a wooden base of sorts,which has since disappeared.
