    The photos may not be officially collectors items, however thought I'd share. I took these photos "just a couple of years ago" at Calder Raceway just outside of Melbourne. The car was the 'Silver' something, the second photo shows Fangio heading off to the starting line. From what I remember Fangio was racing Jack Brabham on the day.I used a little Kodak camera and had to take film to chemist for processing to pick up about 5 days later!

      Nice photos. I remember back in the 70's I use to cover Sebring , Road Atlanta and Daytona 24 hour race. We covered drivers like PJ Newman , Jacky Ickes and Lynn Saint James. No digital anything or Internet. Get you proofs back in 3 days .

      Juan Manuel Fangio-driven Mercedes-Benz W196R "Silver Arrow" at the exhibition race following the 1978 Australian Grand Prix. In the three-lap race, Fangio and the Mercedes competed against Jack Brabham.
