Now THIS is "art furniture" (although understood: a production item). "Sun Coast Collection" dresser in cherry wood designed by Kipp Stewart and Stewart MacDougall for Drexel. Collection released 1958/59. This piece is stamped 7/59 ... # 805-130-2. Beautiful original finish. Anondized aluminum hardware with gold tone finish; great condition. Stretcher base too! Has all the "modern era" WOW FACTOR ... sleek, long & low! I understand this particular item is "hard to find" (no doubt true in the near mint condition of this one anyway). Love the pull out drawers and check out the CAREFULLY MATCHED GRAIN! Welcome your comments and notes!
Oh I love it! Just when you think a trend is growing stale, something like this comes along and revives the feelings, and for good reason: excellent design and craft never grows old. Thanks for sharing this work of art. :)
