I purchased this antique teddy bear with button eyes,jointed,mohair and filled with straw, has some condition issues. But none the less its amazing. Would love help identifying this bear if possible. I was told it was a steiff but not convinced. TIA

Steiff did not use buttons for sewing on bears they were solid no stitching would show . I do see what looks like a hole in ear but paws are not right or nose stitching for any steiff I ever saw . He is cute at any rate , I would not even date him by photo since bear artists can create this look today and make it appear old and worn . Almost have to hold him . But the eyes are either replaced or something .
