    I knew that this was a beautiful piece as soon as i picked it up - very lightweight and thin piece. unfortunately, it's a little knicked up, but it was only 50 cents and i'm curious who made it. anyone recognize the distinctive mark on the bottom?

      i knew this was a good one! that swirly 'S' is the mark for Pottery Studio in England - of Bernard Leach [amongst many, many others!].

      This piece was done by Philip Leach - grandson of the famous Bernard Leach. i knew it was a special piece when i first picked it up!
